I find immense fulfillment in journeying alongside individuals as they navigate life's twists and turns. My journey into counseling has been enriched by diverse experiences, including my 10 years as a social worker at Methodist Children's Home. Working within the framework of social services has deepened my understanding of human resilience and the importance of supportive environments in fostering growth and healing. This experience ignited a passion for family dynamics and strengthened my commitment to supporting families through life's challenges.

Additionally, my background in ministry and discipleship has further shaped my approach to counseling. I believe in integrating faith into the counseling process when desired by the client, providing a space where spiritual exploration can coexist with therapeutic interventions.

I have been married to my husband for over 25 years and have 3 children. I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, and earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. Outside of my counseling practice, you'll often find me immersed in nature, relishing the simple joy of walking through the great outdoors. And of course, no walk is complete without a comforting cup of coffee.

Stefanie has such a heart for people. She finds compassion in everyone’s story and is gifted in finding out, ‘what makes this make sense.’ Her direct style, coupled with humor has clients finding healing and learning who they are, and how to integrate into the family system.
