Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Neurophysiological Trauma Treatment, Prepare and Enrich

Adults | Teens | Couples

It is important to evolve and grow throughout your life experiences, and this includes learning and healing through a mind-body approach. In our time together, one of the most important parts of our therapeutic relationship will be rooted in genuine empathy and connection.

I work alongside individuals who may be experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, somatic issues, emotion dysregulation, attachment issues, and trauma. I see healing through the perspective of neuroscience and somatic processing (mind-body). I know it takes strength and courage to begin this journey and seek the healing you need. I appreciate this decision, and I believe everyone has the ability to heal.

I am trained in Somatic Experiencing, mental health counseling, EMDR, relational and attachment-based therapies, and Neurophysiological Trauma Treatment. I work with teens and adults including first responders and educators.

I have been married to my husband, a firefighter/nurse, for 25 years and have two grown sons.  I graduated from Tarleton State University and earned a master’s degree in professional counseling at Lamar University.  In my former career, I spent over a decade in education as a teacher turned school counselor turned administrator.  I am a proud Texan, live music fan, and am even bigger baseball fan.

Kristina is dedicated to providing clients with exceptional care by exploring innovative treatments through the lens of neuroscience. Her approach focuses on using somatic interventions to facilitate trauma resolution. Her genuine desire for her clients’ well-being is evident in her sessions, where her humor combined with compassion, helps clients feel seen and heard.
